We recommend the OTClient (OTCv8) from the Download page. The classic Tibia 8.60 client works too, but OTClient removes step lag, is far more crash-resistant, and is the client we will recommend once custom sprite items arrive. Either way, enter the server IP and port shown on the Server Info page to connect.

First, just restart the client once or twice and let the updater finish - most problems now repair themselves automatically (it may download large game files once; let that complete). Still broken? Close the client, delete the file data.zip inside %APPDATA%\OTClientV8\theotserver (paste that path into the Windows Explorer address bar), then download a fresh client from the Download page and launch it. Your hotkeys, minimap, and settings are kept. If even that fails, delete the whole theotserver folder there instead and reinstall - that resets everything.

Mage, Paladin, and Warrior. At level 100 you choose a second-tier class from the Queen NPC in the temple. Mage becomes Sorcerer or Druid, Paladin becomes Warden or Hunter, and Warrior becomes Conqueror or Guardian.

Visit the Queen NPC at the temple to choose your class. Experience is locked until you do.

This is your promotion. Climb the temple stairs to level 3 and step inside the electric walls to speak with the Queen. Your level resets to 2, but all skills, magic level, and equipment carry over. Your stats jump significantly from there — full breakdown on the Vocations page. The Queen shows you exactly what your vocation gains and hands you a keepsake decree listing it all.

Go to City Woods Temple and speak with the Mana Charges NPC.

Frags decay after 24 hours. Thresholds: Red/Black at 5 / 15 (unpromoted), 10 / 20 (promoted). Worse skull = more loot dropped on death. Doesn't count against you: self-defence, event kills, or a fair fight between two promoted players.

A green skull means an assassin holds one of Faqir's daggers with that player's name on it - they are actively hunted. Kill people in the open world and daggers are written for you too.

Every player you kill in the open world writes a dagger with your name in Faqir's book - up to five. An assassin claims the contract by accepting a PvP Hunt (level 101+); the prey is warned and can STEAL the reward by killing the assassin first. See the The Blades Board.

No. Players at level 100 or below are fully protected, with no experience loss and no item drop. You are teleported to the temple instead.

Yes. The world type is Open PvP. Once you are over level 100, players can attack each other anywhere outside Protection Zones. Frags and skulls govern unjustified kills (see "How does the skull system work?" above), and fair fights between two promoted players are skull-free.

It works in two stages. Over level 100, open PvP combat is on for everyone: you can attack and be attacked outside Protection Zones, and skulls apply. You only gain experience from a kill once you are promoted (a promoted player killing another promoted player). See the PvP System page.

Once you are promoted, killing another promoted player steals 2% of their total experience, split between everyone who damaged them by how much each dealt. Both players must be promoted, since non-promoted players neither give nor gain PvP experience. See the PvP System page for the full breakdown.

Very. Because the reward scales with the victim's experience, taking down someone well above you is the biggest payday in the game. To keep one kill from launching you to the top, fights against someone more than 1.5× your level are capped at 20 levels of experience per kill, and killing the same target repeatedly pays half each time (it resets after about 8 hours).

If you strike first at someone well below you (under 67% of your level), you gain almost nothing and they lose almost nothing, and it still counts as a frag against you. But if they attacked you first, self-defence pays full experience at any level gap.

Promoted players carry a subtle sheen: a soft glint of light that glides up their outfit. It is purely cosmetic, works in any lighting, and marks every promoted player (and valid PvP-experience target) at a glance.

Raids at 09:00, 14:00, 17:00 (CEST). Random PvP events (Open Battle, Team Battle, CTF, Team CTF) at 16:00 and 18:00. Castle Conquer from 20:00 to 21:00. Counter-Strike at 12:00, 19:00, 22:00.

When the event is announced, go to the temple teleports and choose Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist. Teams are auto-balanced. Everyone has 100 HP, with no healing and no spells. Buy weapons during the freeze phase at spawn. Use !cshelp, !scores, !csrank, !csradio for rules, scoreboard and team callouts. Need to leave early? Simply log out and you will be removed from the event automatically.

Gates open at 20:00. Any guilded player can enter, and the guild that deals the most combined damage when the King dies takes ownership.
• Holding it: +20% guild XP, 50k–125k gold/hour to the guild bank (scales with guild size)
• Leader bonus: 1 OTS Coin per war won or defended (+2 every 7-war streak) — any guild member keeps it by greeting The King (say "Hi" or "Hail King") once per war
• Nobody greets or attacks the King during the war → ownership lapses to nobody, no rewards paid

Raids are monster invasions that spawn across the map. One monster per raid hides an OTS Coin somewhere in the city woods, so find it to claim it. A server-wide announcement warns players before each raid.

One of four events is drawn at random at 16:00 and 18:00: Open Battle (free-for-all arena), Team Battle (up to five teams face off), Capture the Flag (steal the enemy flag and bring it home), or Team CTF (up to four teams of ten players).

Druids can attune themselves to one of three elements (Fire, Energy, or Earth) by stepping through a special portal. While attuned, your summons take on that element alongside your normal summoning. The attunement stays active until you step into a different portal. Only Druids can use the element portals.

There are two sets of portals. The first is south of the temple in the main city: three portals side by side, one for each element, with a 3-minute cooldown between switches. The second set is on the top floor of the Yalahar depot, with the same three elements but a 5-minute cooldown between switches.

Fire, Energy, and Earth. Each one changes the nature of your summoned creatures. Choose based on your hunting strategy or the elemental weakness of the monsters you are targeting.

No. Your attunement persists across sessions and only changes when you deliberately step into a different element portal.

Yes. Your regular summoning spells work as normal. The element attunement adds elemental summons on top of your standard ones, and it does not replace your existing summon slot.

Exclusive to Conquerors. Taking damage in combat fills your Anger gauge. When it reaches 100% your Limit Break fires on the next hit that takes a real chunk of your health - a light tap from something harmless holds the charge instead of wasting it - a powerful transformation that boosts your melee skills and speed for 90 seconds. Type !autolimit to switch between Auto, PvE Only, and Off.

Type !gauge in chat to see how full it is.

Yes. The Anger bar in your client’s skills window fills in real time as you take damage, so you can watch it while you fight. Type !gauge if you would rather read the exact percentage as text.

Type !moves. The full move chain is: First Beast → Hell Knight → Brave Soldier → Satan → Knightmare → Ascended Warrior.

Use your current move enough times in combat. Type !limithelp to see exactly how many more uses you need to unlock the next one.

Yes. Type !level <move name>. Your Anger gauge carries over, so you can switch freely to suit the hunt.

Yes. Type !buy aol in game chat. The price is 40,000 gold.

!buy food (2,000 gp, gives 100 food), !buy backpack (15 gp), !buy bp (a free blue backpack). The Loot Pouch is a Gift Shop item (10 OTS Points).

Visit the Get OTS Points page on this website and pay via PayPal. Points are credited automatically. Spend them in the Gift Shop on gear, backpacks, and VIP time.

No. Donations are optional, and every item in the Gift Shop can also be earned in game. OTS Coins come from event wins and milestones (Castle and Counter-Strike prizes, the Boss Slayer challenge, arena wins, and raid coin hunts). Paying is a shortcut and a way to support the server, never the only path. Most shop gear can also be exchanged back for full OTS Points at any time, so you can try any build risk-free.

A kill-quest system run by Faqir the Wise in the temple. Ask him for a task (or type !task in chat) and he assigns you a monster to hunt and a kill count. Finish it and claim your reward at Fa'hradin's Reward Lamp.

Say task to Faqir, or type !task list in chat to see your current offers. Say the number Faqir shows you (or type !task accept <number>) to accept one. You start with one task slot. The Task Slot Expansion in the shop unlocks two more on that character, so you can run up to three tasks at once.

Alongside your personal offers, Faqir posts one server-wide Wish of the Day (resets daily) and a weekly Grand Wish - both are open to every player and can be any monster in the game, including the occasional joke task.

Crystal coins, timed experience boosts, Haste, Premium Days, and vocation-flavored potions - all claimed at Fa'hradin's Reward Lamp. The first few completions each day pay the better "rich" reward; after that, completions still count toward the Most Tasks ranking but pay a smaller gold reward.

It only holds a reward after you finish a task - it tells you if you have none waiting, or shows your current task progress if one is still in progress.

Yes. Type !task choose <monster name> to hand-pick any task in the game for 100,000-300,000 gold depending on your level. You can also use !task reroll <number> to swap one offer for 20,000-100,000 gold depending on that offer's tier, or !task shuffle to refresh all of them for 50,000-150,000 gold depending on your level.

Yes. Type !task rankings in chat, or say rankings to Faqir, to see the Most Tasks leaderboard.

A dedicated 6th offer slot shown above your five normal offers, and it always holds an event task - drawn from Counter-Strike, Capture the Flag, Team Battle, Raids, Left 4 Dead, or Castle War. It refreshes automatically once a day, just like your normal offers. Accepting it is free; type !task challenge to reroll it for gold, priced the same as a normal offer reroll (20,000-100,000 gold by tier). The Challenge slot only ever offers an event you can actually enter - Left 4 Dead requires a rebirth vocation, and Castle War requires level 100, a chosen class, and guild membership.

An optional Faqir task where you hunt other players instead of monsters. Kill 5 players within your current level range to complete it and earn a reward, exactly like a regular task - claimed the same way, at Fa'hradin's Reward Lamp.

Type !task hunt in chat, or say hunt to Faqir. You need to be at least level 101 (or hold any rebirth vocation, at any level) - the same gate that decides whether you can be attacked at all. Unlike regular tasks, a Hunt is always available - no waiting for it to be offered.

Only players within a level range around your own (roughly 70%-150% of your level), recalculated on every kill - so leveling up mid-Hunt never leaves you stuck chasing targets who no longer qualify.

No. Kills against the same account, or from the same connection, never earn any credit, and the game says so at the moment of the kill. The same protection also stops repeatedly farming one victim: a given pair of players only pays Hunt credit once every 7 days, no matter who kills whom.

Pay-the-Prey was retired - Faqir's Dagger replaced it. Every open-world kill now writes a dagger contract on the killer instead of a flat gold bounty; assassins claim contracts through the PvP Hunt and the rewards pay in progression, not just gold.

Yes - the Power Ladder. Type !task killers in chat, or say killers to Faqir, to see the Top Killers board.

A recurring calendar month. Completing regular Faqir tasks (not PvP Hunt) builds up your season total, which drives both the Season Pass and the monthly leaderboard. Everything resets at the start of the next month.

An 11-tier reward track for the same season total - gold, Haste, timed exp boosts, Premium Days, and a capstone at 100 tasks (a Tier IV sigil, 3 Premium Days and 150,000 gold). Tiers unlock automatically as you complete tasks; nothing to claim by hand.

The Top 10 players by season total (minimum 20 tasks completed that season) are rewarded with gold, Premium Days, and a 1-hour experience boost, ranked 1st through 10th. Then every player's season total resets to zero for the new month.

Complete at least one task (of any kind) on consecutive days to build a streak. Every 5 days banks a free reroll; every 7 days banks a freeze token (up to 3) that silently protects your streak if you miss exactly one day; every 15 days also grants 100,000 gold, 30 minutes of banked exp and a 1-in-5 chance at a Tier I sigil; every 30 days grants a Tier III sigil, 40 more banked minutes and a chance at Tier IV or V. Missing two days in a row always breaks it.

Complete 5 tasks (any kind) within the same week for a bonus reward, tracked separately from your Season and Streak progress. Type !task weekly to check your progress.

The first 7 days of every month, Faqir occasionally offers limited-time tasks tied to server events (for example, surviving invasion waves) - unavailable the rest of the month.

No. PvP Hunt has its own separate reward track (the Power Ladder) and does not add to your season total, Season Pass tiers, or the season leaderboard.

Stand on the house tile and click the house door or sign to purchase it. The price is 49,000 gold per square meter, paid automatically from your in-game bank balance, so deposit enough gold at a bank first.

Every house charges monthly rent, priced by its floor area - 15,000 gold per walkable square metre, so a small home is cheap and a mansion is not. The rent is deducted automatically from your in-game bank balance, not from the gold in your backpack. You must keep enough gold deposited in the bank at all times to cover it. If your bank balance cannot pay the rent, you receive a warning letter; after 7 unpaid warnings the house is lost and its contents are moved to your depot.

Visit any banker NPC and say deposit (or deposit all). Your bank balance is separate from the coins in your backpack, and only your bank balance pays house rent, so always keep a buffer deposited so you never miss a payment.

You get a warning letter each rent cycle your bank cannot cover the rent. After 7 missed payments the house is repossessed and everything inside is sent to your depot. Top up your bank balance before then to keep your home.
